Walthamstow is still redeveloping. Here are two projects to keep your eyes on if you are interested in investing in Walthamstow:


The Mall


Waltham Forest Council has given the seal of approval for the retail investment company Capital & Regional's planning permission to redevelop the Mall shopping centre. Consequently, new retail and restaurant outlets will overlook a refurbished town square. This will include a new children's play area plus 42 new homes. Above the shopping centre itself, 460 more homes will be constructed.


Walthamstow Gateway


Further developments hit Walthamstow Central Station, right by Wonderlease's headquarters, as Solum propose to transform the station into 'Walthamstow Gateway'. This will create 79 new apartments and a strikingly new station square. In the most recent construction update you can begin to see a glimpse into the visual impact of works as the final V-Shape column within the car park completely transforms the site. The last we heard, the transformation has already delivered 69 new homes, of which 50% were affordable. The works will also deliver a Travelodge hotel and retail units which will bring about new jobs and attract more people to E17. The next chapter is the creation of 79 new homes above the car park. We will also improve the station environment and the pedestrian link to Queen's Road Station.
