For those of you who don't know, the Housing Awards were initiated by Stella Creasy MP to name and shame as well as identify the heroes of the industry in E17. On the 20th February, the results were announced by Sadiq Khan MP, Labour's candidate for London Mayor. Over 400 Walthamstow residents had their say and painted the following picture of E17's Estate and Letting Agents:

As an independent family-run business, situated on Hoe Street, a road notorious for having the most Agents per square mile, to be voted runners up as Best Letting Agents is great victory for us. Considering that we were competing with enormous franchises, this recognition stands testimony to the power of the family touch and our high standards of practice.

The Awards play a pivotal role in keeping a watchful eye on the thriving industry in Walthamstow. The naming and shaming of bad practice prevents estate agents double charging as well as helping local residents avoid being ripped off by hidden letting agent fees. Many local letting and estate agents participated in meetings about the problems facing local residents, showing their commitment to work together with the community to address concerns about their industry.

For those of you participated and represented Wonderlease, we want to say thank you on behalf of the entire team!
